Since 2000, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council has presented Rhode Islands Chinese Dragon Boat Races & Taiwan Day Festival. This action-packed event consists of Taiwan-style dragon boat races for professional and amateur teams, along with many cultural and artistic events, and the always popular Chinese dumpling eating contest and watermelon eating contest. Once again this year, dragon boat teams will compete for over $15,000 in cash and prizes!
