Welcome to the 56th Wickford Art Festival
Visit one of New England's longest running, outdoor, fine art festivals!

Sunday July 8, 2018 10 am to 5 pm

Since 1962, the Wickford Art Association has been the promoter of the Wickford Art Festival. This juried, fine art festival features over 200 fine art artists from New England, the US and beyond. Admission is free for visitors!

Each summer artists and art lovers enjoy New England's #1 outdoor fine arts festival set on the streets of historic Wickford Village. Eclectic shops and classic homes line the streets as visitors stroll through the seaside village, meeting the artists and seeking out exceptional artwork to admire and purchase. Fine art media include oil, acrylic, mixed media, glass, drawing, etching, sculpture (metal, clay, wood, etc.), photography, modern ink, and fiber. Wickford is a "walking-friendly" village that makes it easy for families, the elderly and handicapped persons to enjoy the festival.

Rhode Island is fast becoming the ultimate creative community the "State of the Arts" and is the first state in the nation to make the sale of fine art tax-free!

There is plenty of local food to savor at Wickford's several restaurants, the First Baptist Church, on Main Street, and other food vendors located in the town parking lot and on West Main. Parking is available at Wilson Park on West Main Street and the former Wickford Elementary School on Phillips Street with a free shuttle (handy if you buy a big piece of artwork). Handicapped parking is available in the town parking lot. Check out the Festival Program for restaurant, restroom, church, and parking locations.

Although Wickford is a dog-friendly community, we advise leaving your dog at home during the festival. If you do bring Spot along, please consider the day's temperature, humidity, possible hot sidewalks, and large crowds. All animals must be leashed, picked up after, and up-to-date on vaccinations. There is also the danger of dogs urinating on low-hanging art work, people tripping on leashes, or people being knocked down by overly friendly or aggressive dogs. Animals must not be left in vehicles. Wickford loves dogs but safety and courtesy first!
